Storm Lake Dollars for Scholars invites you to join its community-wide effort to provide scholarships for the graduating seniors of our two high schools.  Unlike other scholarship programs, Dollars for Scholars takes into account some important intangibles - what students have contributed to community, church, and civic groups; whether they have solid personal goals and how effectively they can communicate them; and their employment while in school.

Every dollar raised through our fund drive is invested in the education of young people, as administration is entirely volunteer.  Every dollar stays in our community for our two high schools.  Last year, contributions to the Dollars for Scholars Fund Drive enabled us to award $57,500 in scholarships to 45 deserving seniors.  As an affiliate of Scholarship America, Storm Lake Dollars for Scholars over the past thirty-eight years has:

*awarded over $1,011,830 to Storm Lake High School and St. Mary's High School graduates

* provided scholarships to 1548 outstanding students

The rising cost of higher education makes our fund drive more important each year.  Please join us in becoming partners in the Dollars for Scholars organization. Together, we can pool our funds to help deserving students reach their goals.  You are asked to join with us with a tax deductible contribution to our 2023-2024 fund drive.
