APPLYING FOR CSF WESTFIELD DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS SCHOLARSHIPS IS A TWO-PART PROCESS:

STEPS TO COMPLETE THE STUDENT PROFILE AND APPLY FOR CSF WESTFIELD SCHOLARSHIPS 

  • Create and fill in the Student Profile. Go to https://csfwestfield.dollarsforscholars.org/, Student & Parents tab (top right), Click to Login (bottom of page).
  • Follow the instructions  in COMPLETING THE STUDENT PROFILE AND APPLYING FOR CSF SCHOLARSHIPS. - Download PDF for Page by Page Guide  (presentation in process of being updated to reflect 2024-2025 academic year FAFSA changes -terminology/multiple college students in household- CHECKLIST has updates).
  • Upload your upcoming scholarship year FAFSA Submission Summary (formerly SAR).  This financial information is required.
  • College students upload your most recent complete college transcript. This is required. Unofficial is ok.
  • High School seniors request required transcript from your Guidance Counselor under the Transcript section 
  • Enter/Update all required information by the deadline date - use the CHECKLIST to help in this task.
  • Apply for scholarships during the open application dates and by the deadline date.
  • Check your email frequently for messages from CSF Westfield. (Check SPAM and JUNK too.)

MAXIMIZING YOUR SCHOLARSHIP

  • Do start the process early! All information and documents must be submitted by the deadline. 
  • Do request transcripts well before the deadline to give your Guidance Counselor time to respond.
  • Do use the CHECKLIST to help in completing the Student Profile and Application process.
  • Do NOT enter Masters or PHD as the Anticipated Degree Type. CSF Westfield scholarships are only for undergraduate studies.
  • Do provide details for your Activities and Work Experience in the Student Profile.  Update every year you apply. All are considered in scoring.
  • Do write a Goals Essay that only addresses the prompt "…describe your plans as they relate to your educational and career objectives and future goals." Edit and update this essay as your goals change. Scoring is based on how well you address that prompt.
  • Do update Student Profile, upload current documents and apply every year; scholarships are not automatically renewable but you may be eligible up to 4 times. 
  • Do ensure that the required upcoming year FAFSA Submission Summary (formerly SAR) and current year Transcripts are uploaded.
  • Do ensure the GPA and FAFSA SAI (formerly EFC) in the Profile match supporting uploaded Transcripts and FAFSA Submission Summary (formerly SAR).
  • NEW 2024 Do enter names of any other members of your household who are or will be full-time undergraduate students in the 2024-25 academic year, including their current year in college, in the Unusual Circumstances Essay of the Student Profile, since FAFSA no longer uses that information in their calculations.
  • Do pay attention to messages from CSF Westfield regarding the completeness of your Student Profile or application for CSF Westfield scholarships as they may vary from Scholarship America notifications. CSF Westfield and Scholarship America requirements differ for completed applications.
  • Do APPLY for scholarships after completing the Profile and during the open application dates. 
  • Do check scholarships periodically during open dates as new ones could be added for which you may qualify.
  • Do check out the "Scholarship America News and Opportunities" on the right side of the CSF Westfield Web Page for additional scholarships and opportunities from Scholarship America and other organizations.

Remember you must complete all required Profile information, upload the FAFSA Submission Summary and Transcripts, and apply for scholarships by the deadline of March 15th with the exception of the FAFSA SAI which is extended to April 8th!
